Where did you holiday and why?

Throughout England and Wales on an antiques road show. I hadn’t been back to England for eighteen years and was helping a client with marketing of antiques & collectibles price guides in Australia – Alan Carter Price Guides.  I knew how popular in Australia programmes like Bargain Hunt and the antiques shows were, so I thought I would see if there was interest among people I knew to join me in sharing the cost of a coach and driver for a few weeks so we could go on our own antiques roadshow.  That was 4  years ago. …Portobello Road in London – what was that like? We always end our antiques and collectables UK holiday in London. We had a great tour of the city before we were dropped off at the hotel in Kensington, South West London. That was on a Friday night and earlier in the day we had travelled from Cambridge to spend a few hours at Blenheim Palace – birthplace of Winston Churchill which is pretty close to Oxford. So quite a contrasting day – the serenity and beauty of a stately home set in magnificent gardens and grounds to a city teeming with millions of inhabitants.
